Google Meet, Zoom and Teams

AI interview assistant for Google Meet: your interviewer sees nothing

ClapAssist listens to the Meet call on your own computer and writes an answer from your resume. Nothing joins the meeting, so the participant list never changes, and the window stays out of screen shares and recordings.

Mac and Windows. 10 free interview minutes, no card needed.
Straight answers

What people actually ask before a Meet interview

Short, direct answers. No hedging, including where the honest answer is “no”.

Can the interviewer see it on Google Meet?

No. The window is marked as excluded from screen capture by the operating system itself — WDA_EXCLUDEFROMCAPTURE on Windows, sharingType = none on macOS. Meet asks the OS for the screen and the OS hands back a picture without the window in it. That applies on every plan, including the free one.

Does it join the meeting as a bot?

No. Nothing is invited and nothing appears in the participant list. Plenty of AI meeting tools work by sending a bot into the call; this one runs entirely on your machine, so there is no extra attendee to explain.

Does it work when I share my screen?

Yes — that is the case it is built for. You can share a full screen, a window or a tab, and the assistant is absent from all three.

Does it work when the interviewer shares their screen?

Yes. If a question or a coding prompt is on their shared screen, ClapAssist can read what is on your display and answer from that, not just from what it hears.

Do I need a Meet plugin or a Chrome extension?

No. It is a normal desktop app for Mac and Windows. It never attaches to Meet, so nothing changes inside the browser and there is no extension for anyone to spot.

Does it show up in a Meet recording?

No. A recording is made from the same screen capture the OS provides, so the exclusion applies to recordings the same way it applies to live sharing.

Where it will not help you

A page you can trust has to say this part too.

Locked-down coding platforms.

ClapAssist is built for video interviews. It is not a way around HackerRank, CoderPad or similar assessment platforms, which watch window focus, keystrokes and paste events from inside their own page. If your interview runs on one of those, this is the wrong tool and we would rather say so here than take your money.

In-person interviews.

There is no screen to hide it on. It reads and answers from your computer, so it only makes sense for a remote call.

A guarantee against every future version of every platform.

The exclusion is an operating-system feature, not a trick, which is why it is reliable. But no one can promise how a platform will behave after an update it has not shipped yet. Test it with a friend on a real Meet call before the interview that matters — the free 10 minutes exist for exactly that.

Questions

Google Meet questions

Does an AI interview assistant show up on Google Meet screen share?

ClapAssist does not. The window is excluded from screen capture at the operating-system level, so Google Meet receives a picture of your screen without it. This works on every plan, including the free 10-minute one.

Does ClapAssist join the Google Meet call as a participant?

No. Nothing joins the call. ClapAssist listens on your own computer, so the participant list stays exactly as it should be.

Do I need a Chrome extension or a Google Meet add-on?

No. ClapAssist is a desktop app for Mac and Windows. It does not attach to Google Meet, so there is no extension or add-on involved.

Does ClapAssist work with Zoom and Microsoft Teams as well?

Yes. It works the same way on any video call, because it never connects to the meeting platform. Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams and browser-based calls all behave identically.

Can ClapAssist read a question the interviewer shares on their screen?

Yes. It can answer from what is on your display as well as from what it hears, so a coding prompt or a question on a shared slide is covered.

Is my interview audio stored?

No. Audio is processed to produce the answer and is not kept on our servers. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Is ClapAssist free to try on Google Meet?

Yes. Every account gets 10 interview minutes free, one time, with no card. That is enough to run a mock call with a friend and confirm the window really is invisible on their screen.

Test it on a real Meet call before the one that matters.

Set it up in two minutes now, so it is ready when the calendar invite lands.
